Tag Team of the Year: New Day

New Day have been relied on heavily by the WWE. In this era where most wrestlers are 50/50 booked into a homogenized pileup of midcard talent, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E have been given a lengthy block of time on almost every recent edition of RAW and SmackDown and, remarkably, have managed to stay fresh, interesting and popular. There is no greater testament to their work than that.

Match of the Year: Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins vs. John Cena

This is the match that cemented Seth Rollins’ place as the best in-ring performer in WWE, and probably set him up to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania. The psychology was excellent, the big spots were both logical and well-executed and the finish was shocking but a perfect end to the story.
