Male Wrestler of the Year: Cesaro

Cesaro wasn’t utilized properly throughout 2015, but every single time the man stepped into the ring, he made the most of the opportunity. He started 2015 alongside Tyson Kidd and won the tag team titles at Fastlane, and the two quickly established themselves as the best in-ring duo in recent WWE history. When Kidd was injured by Samoa Joe in a dark match, Cesaro had a breakout performance in singles competition against John Cena. From there, he made subtle tweaks to his moveset that made him a major fan favorite. He never got close to the main event picture, and he never got a big singles win, but he managed to deliver a number of memorable performances, with his final live match against Roman Reigns earning four stars from WON.

Honorable Mention: John Cena

Female Wrestler of the Year: Sasha Banks

We already knew that Sasha Banks was good, but she went from a good wrestler to one of the hottest names in the game in 2015. Her match against Bayley at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn was downright electrifying and her Iron Woman match after that was downright stellar. Add to that the improvements in her in-ring presence and her second-to-none heeling, and you have a clear-cut winner here.

Honorable Mention: Bayley
