Best Move of the Year: Cesaro-Tyson Kidd Giant Swing Dropkick

Cesaro’s giant swing has long been one of the most fun moves in pro wrestling, but it never looked painful. When he paired up with Tyson Kidd, though, that changed in a big way. When Cesaro started the swing, Kidd would wait in the corner to nail their opponent with a front dropkick. Brutal to watch but so, so fun.

Honorable Mention: Seth Rollins’ Phoenix Splash

Worst Move of the Year: Dean Ambrose’s Rebound Clothesline

Dean Ambrose’s recovery clothesline is one of his most best moves when it makes sense (the best example being at SummerSlam 2014 when he used it after Seth Rollins nailed him with an enzuigiri). The problem? He does it every. Single. Match. That makes it both predictable and silly, as we see people throw him into the ropes and just stand there, waiting to get hit. It’s unrealistic and stupid in most situations.

Other Worst Move of the Year: John Cena’s Springboard Stunner

We needed to double-up here because BOY, is Cena’s springboard stunner bad. Yes, Cena has had one of the most entertaining years of his career in 2015 and his run as United States Champion made up for an absolutely awful rivalry with Rusev but there’s no excusing how bad that move is. Cena never hits it properly and it just plain doesn’t fit into his overall style. Just…awful…
