New Day vs. The Usos for the Tag Team Championship
The Usos have been criticized for being the John Cena of the tag division, functioning as the default contenders in any and all situations and, unfortunately, beating newer, fresher, more compelling tag teams. With the Lucha Dragons shelved and the Dudley Boyz on full-time jobber, the Usos are once again the top contenders by default.
The New Day are one of the hottest acts in the pro wrestling today, and the WWE hates nothing more than nice things. Expect the Usos to either win the titles outright or, more likely, win by DQ to set up a match at Fastlane.
Prediction: The Usos Win by DQ
Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch for the Diva’s Championship
While the storyline for this match has been standard “best friends become mortal enemies” fare, Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte has been the best rivalry in the WWE over recent months. Becky has quietly become one of the best babyfaces on the roster, improving her mic work by leaps and bounds while putting on numerous solid matches. Charlotte remains a work in progress but pairing her with Ric Flair has offered some solid storytelling opportunities and WWE, commendably, has made the most of them.
Unfortunately, the outcome of this match is fairly predictable. Charlotte will almost certainly win and either move on to a feud with Sasha Banks and Team BAD or continue her program with Becky into WrestleMania.
Prediction: Charlotte Wins by Cheating
