On the RAW after SummerSlam, the New Day introduced a new member to their team, a trombone that would later be named Francesca. While many fans wondered how a trombone would work in the New Day’s act, it turned out that the answer was “brilliantly”.
The ridiculousness of the trombone delighted the New Day’s fans while further infuriating their haters.
They’ve found a number of ways to incorporate it into their act, including playing it on the outside, playing it to compliment moves and using it as a weapon.
Right now, the New Day are incorporating a unicorn theme to their gimmick.
Where they go from here and what new wrinkles they add to their gimmick remains to be seen. Either way, they’re basically guaranteed to entertain.
