Undertaker vs. Lesnar Must Have More Brawling, Fewer Nutshots

Wrestling

There’s a low-hanging storyline fruit that the WWE is inexplicably refusing to pick here. It’s very easy to simply say that the Undertaker is desperate. He’s 50 years old and doesn’t have a body capable of handling the 300-day-a-year schedule of a WWE champion. All he had entering 2014 was his 21-0 WrestleMania streak, and Lesnar took that from him. Now, he wants to take that win back at any cost.

For some reason, though the WWE hasn’t provided any rationale for this change in the Undertaker. That just leaves the future hall-of-famer ambushing Lesnar with nutshots in a way that makes him come off as cowardly. That’s a disservice to both men, and a disservice to his fans.

They have one last chance to make sense of all this on Sunday. Hopefully they actually have the two of them fight, rather than perform what would be a comedy segment in most situations.
