If the Diaz suspension is indeed reduced to 18 months, that could mean a Diaz return in July 2016. Conveniently, that would line him up for a potential return at the UFC’s International Fight Week show, UFC 200. The UFC will almost certainly be looking to get as many big names as possible on the card.
That said, it’s also possible that Diaz isn’t especially keen on the idea of fighting in Las Vegas again…
Either way, a relatively quick return for Diaz feels almost guaranteed at this point, and that’s a great thing. While it remains to be seen whether or not the NSAC has learned their lesson, at least for now, there is some hope that they’ll get things right.
Let’s all say our prayers and cross our fingers that we get to see a Diaz vs. Lawler 2 at UFC 200!
