Nick Diaz and Nick Diaz

Perhaps Nick’s biggest foe is himself. He’s an elite-level self-sabotager but that’s also part of his charm. On the one hand, he could do a better job of staying active and playing ball with the bosses since he’s only fought 3 times since the end of 2011. On the other hand, he just came back from an almost 2 year layoff and went 5 rounds with a roided up G.O.A.T and got paid enough to take another extended staycation in Stockton.

Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva

This one never resulted in an officially sanctioned fight, but we did get to see Chael land a slick takedown on The Axe Murderer. Chael had been talking shit about Wanderlei for years until Wandy finally confronted him at a conference wanting to fight, which lead to Wandy getting clowned even more for acting like it was spur of the moment yet having a camera crew with him when it happened. This back-and-forth finally resulted in the two vets going toe to toe on TUF Brazil as opposing coaches, but when Wandy turned and ran away before taking a drug test and Chael Sonnen pissed hotter than a West Linn summer’s day, this super entertaining match-up was killed.
