WWE Superstar Kurt Angle Hints That He’s Finally Taking A Shot At Professional MMA

MMA

Angle actually wanted to compete on The Ultimate Fighter season 10 (the one with Kimbo, by the way), but couldn’t get medical clearance. That was six years ago, and Angle has been wrestling pretty regularly since then.

But there is, of course, one SUPER interesting workaround there. What if he didn’t try to get licensed to fight in America? What if he went to fight somewhere else like, I don’t know…Japan? Are there any Japanese promotions in desperate need of a main eventer? Oh, right, there is this one guy that used to run PRIDE FC who happens to have a certain ripped Fedor Emelianenko character under contract for a New Year’s Eve MMA event.

Yes, that’s right. It’s possible we could see Fedor Emelianenko vs. Kurt Angle.

Obviously, much of that is conjecture and wishing upon a star, but Angle is the right kind of crazy to do his first MMA fight at age 46. There’s also little doubt that if Angle wanted to compete in MMA, that he could find a way to do it. Either way, Bellator 145 just became even more interesting.
