Jon Jones Says Why He Wants To Fight Brock Lesnar Instead Of Thiago Santos

Even though Jones did not call out anyone in his post fight interview. He know who he want to fight next and it no surprise that it Brock Lesnar, Jones want Lesnar to return to UFC to fight him. It is anticipated that the match between Brock and Jones will certainly bring out huge crowds.

Jones vs Smith

Jon Jones continued to show the world why he is one of the greatest fighters of all time on Saturday. Dismantling the dangerous Anthony Smith over the course of 5 rounds (Bleacher Report)

Following another UFC fight match up another fellow light-heavyweight fighter Thiago ‘Marreta’ Santosgot got a shot at the title after he ploughed and battle his way through rival contender Jan Blachowicz with a TKO’d  in the third round.

After Jones retained his title  that leaves Santos either a title shot or Anthony Smith.  Well Santos has not minced matters and stepped up to the challenged openly declaring he’ll take either fight. However, Jones seems to have bigger plans at the moment.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is a former UFC MMA fighter and WWE star, and it no secret about his steroid use but jones doesn’t care.

Pass Drug Test Back On Track

Jon Jones career seems to be back track after passing a series of several drug test and winning the title and being able to retain it. The boost of cofidence has Jones on a high feeling he can now take one whowever he wants. Jones started challenging Brock Lesnar after beating Cormier at UFC 214.

Then surprisingly or unsurprisingly (you decide) Jones failed his drug test and earn a suspension. Cormier seem to be delighted at the opportunity and this earned him a shot at Lesnar and  now Dana White does not want to be seen as going back on that.

I figure if I’m going to make the gamble, you might as well go extremely big,”

“Go big or go home. And a Brock Lesnar fight … I mean, extremely high risk and extremely high reward. I don’t really see myself versus anyone that could bring in the kind of numbers me and Brock could bring in.”

Clearly Jones want to make a big comeback and score with his fans, he thinks Brock vs Jones can bring out the crowds

“I think that Brock and Cormier want that fight, owe Cormier a lot. Cormier wants that fight. Cormier’s going to get it.”

”I love the Thiago Santos fight, I love that fight. I would love to see him verse Jon Jones.”

”Thiago looks unbelievable at that weight,”

“He’s big, I like his fighting style, and when you put Jon Jones in those type of fights, Jones shines. Jones sort of is one of those guys who rises to the level of his opponent. I think Thiago Santos is going to be one of those guys who comes in aggressive, moves forward and gives you the kind of fight that you’re used to seeing Jon Jones in.”

Jones promise DC he is going to get the fight he wants and it been long time coming even though Daniel Comier not sure how Comier feels about it now.

“Whoever it may be, I’m ready to take them all, I think all these younger fighters should get their opportunity at a world title. When you’re sitting in my position, its like who am I to deny people? I’m not going to talk ahead too much. I’m going to get with my coaches. We are a close, tight-knit family. This career is not mine, it’s all of ours. We’re going to talk about what we want next, who we want to fight next and just play it like that.”

”At the end of the day, I feel like this is my time and my era, and I was meant to be here to be a great champion. This belt here is supposed to be covered in red rubies. And I got a new challenge to get this thing covered in red rubies, and if that means I got to beat a lot of ass, and I’m up for the challenge.”
