Johnny Walker Wants To Beat Jon Jones Slowly So He Can Enjoy The Fight as He Defeat Jones

Lately, it seems that everyone wants to get a piece of Jon Jones from Adesanya, Luke Rockhold and now Johnny Walker. A fight with Jones for Walker would place him in a very good position career wise and probably put in in the MMA history books for defeating Jon Jones, the reigning top pound-for-pound fighter and 205-pound champion.




It is true, “Bones” was already defeated by Johnnie Walker defeated Jon Jones in 2012, however, the Brazillian fighter want this loss to happen inside the Octagon and he wants a win by submission, TKO or KO. He not aiming for a win by disqualification something that happened to Matt Hamill back in 2009.

Currently, Walker holds 17-3 record has been on a nine-win streak, eight of which has been spectacular he looks like the man to defeat the 205 pounds, Bones, but that on paper at least. It seems that Walker want to aim higher and defeat bigger fish as so to say he certainly feels that Jon Jones is his match and he can and will defeat him.

Speaking to The Body Lock Walker said “It would make me very happy to fight against him, I would beat him. I hope I don’t finish the fight very quickly because I want to enjoy the fight, enjoy the moment because this is my dream coming true. I hope Jon Jones keeps the belt. I like ‘Marreta.’ He’s a Brazilian but I hope Jon Jones wins because I want to beat Jon Jones.”

As for Jon Jones stacking up against Johnny Walker well, Jones record speaks for itself 24-1, 1 NC. Jones has taken on some of the best opponents and destroyed them some have even argued that right now in the UFC he is the best fighter in any weight class. Well, that point may be arguable but what cannot be disputed is that Jones is one of the best in the MMA sports field right now.

We will see Jon Jones face off with Thiago Santos at #UFC 239 this July 06, at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, both of these fighters have impressive records and sure will be a clash. With the online war with Isreal Adesanya over Jones and his champ have been focusing on preparing for this fight. Will the GOAT get slaughter? We suggest that Johnny Walker set his sights on someone else for now even though from his comments fans can understand why he would want to fight Jones but this is not the right time for Walker.
