Character:
For a long time, Cesaro struggled to find a character that worked. He started off as a monster heel, then moved to being a tweener. From there he waffled back and forth between heel and face before turning full heel, being paired up with Paul Heyman. He would dump Heyman and remained something of a heel until he feuded with the New Day for the Tag Team Championship. Over the last month, since battling John Cena for the United States title, he has become one of the company’s top babyfaces.
Outlook:
The WWE kept Cesaro very close to the World Heavyweight Title picture in 2013 and 2014, having him compete for the belt at Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank. While he would wallow aimlessly for months, he became a star again with a series of brilliant matches. He has been repeatedly paired up with top draws John Cena and Randy Orton in recent months, so a big push could be on the horizon.
