You might be wondering “why is this a surprise? Brock vs. Dean was basically the entire storyline of Fastlane!” and you would be right. What makes it odd is the fact that it completely leaves the Wyatt Family out in the cold.
Lesnar was twice beaten down by the Wyatt Family ahead of the Royal Rumble, and actually got thrown over the ropes by them during the titular match. When the Wyatts moved from Lesnar onto a crusade against “the titans of the WWE”, it seemed like that storyline would be followed by a proper feud between the heel stable and the Beast.
A match with Ambrose, though, is tough to complain about. Lesnar and Ambrose consistently delivered fun segments during the buildup to Fastlane, and removing Roman from the picture will only make it better. Of course, it’s impossible to pick Lesnar to lose here, especially against a guy that the WWE has never bought into. Either way, it should be a fun few weeks.
