EA Sports UFC 2 Roster Announced! Find Out Who is, and Isn’t, IN THE GAME

Obviously, the roster for EA Sports UFC 2 is enormous. There are over 250 fighters and that includes basically every modern contender and every potential contender. There are lots and lots of fighters that nobody really knows or cares about, and that’s something that wasn’t really the case with EA Sports UFC 2 (or Undisputed 3, which deliberately left big names out so they could sell DLC). They’ve also done a good job of filling out some of the divisions by making fighters able to change weight classes. Some of those make sense (Chael Sonnen fought for both the UFC middleweight and light heavyweight titles, so it makes sense to have him in both). Others are somewhat odd (Middleweight GSP? Featherweight Dominick Cruz?)

There are very few notable fighters that aren’t in the game…but of course, there are a few. The biggest thing you’ll notice is how a lot of the UFC’s more troublesome fighters aren’t there anymore. Cung Le, who is suing the UFC, is gone from the game and so is Wanderlei Silva (hilariously, both were in EA Sports UFC 1). While the game has historical fighters like Forrest Griffin and Matt Hughes, there’s no Tito Ortiz or Randy Couture. Oh, and podcasting malcontent Brendan Schaub? Yeah…he’s not there.

The game drops March 15. Check back on FightState around that time to see if we do a review!
