New Details About Ronda Rousey’s Return Leaked

MMA

“There have been talks about her coming back, but we haven’t made a final decision yet. There’s a chance she fights to get her belt back this year, but nothing is set yet. If we do make a comeback this year, we will. If not we will make it next year. We want to thank all our fans for being patient. When she does come back, we promise the best Ronda Rousey that anyone has ever seen.”

So who would she be coming back for?

That woman right there, Amanda Nunes.

Nunes took the women’s bantamweight championship off Miesha Tate (who took it off Holly Holm, who took it off Rousey) at UFC 200. The UFC’s plan has always been to have Rousey return to a title shot and they appear committed to that promotional plan.

That’s nice because, whether or not you like Rousey, you want her to come back. She’s too exciting and too intense and her fights are too big to feel otherwise.

Still, we’re still in the same spot we were in 2014. We want Ronda vs. Cyborg! Nothing else will live up to that.
