Dana White Goes Off On Jon Jones, But Doesn’t Think Jones Took Steroids

This has not been a great 18 months for Jon Jones.

This has not been a great 18 months for Jon Jones.

Obviously, Jones and Dana White have never really gotten along all that well. Dating back to the cancellation of UFC 151, which was scrapped when Jones turned down a last-minute replacement fight against Chael Sonnen, the top pound-for-pound fighter in the sport has been at odds with UFC brass. Some of it is because Jones is willing to work with sponsors outside the UFC (he promoted Beats by Dre instead of those terrible Octagon headphones, for example). Some of it is because Jones is an idiot that can’t stay out of trouble.

Unfortunately for both parties, there’s a good chance they won’t have to deal with another for a good, long while. As stated, Jones was pulled from UFC 200 due to a failed drug test and that could result in a suspension of up to two years, depending on what he was flagged for. While Dana might not like Jones, I’m sure he knows that losing him would suck really, really hard.
