Hilariously, this meeting took place at UFC 168, where Rousey was set to face Miesha Tate for the second time while Barnett was set to face Rousey’s future boyfriend, Travis Browne. Rousey would force Tate to tap out to an armbar in the third round of their fight, while Browne would elbow Barnett unconscious in one of the scariest knockouts in MMA history.
At this point, though, Rousey and Barnett weren’t a couple. Browne, back in 2013, was still training with the famous Jackson-Winkeljohn camp. Rousey and Browne didn’t first hook up until he joined Rousey’s Glendale Fight.
While Barnett may not hang out with Rousey still, it’s still quite fun to see them both nerding out like this. Now imagine if Rousey was a bigger fan of Japanese pro wrestling! Then they could really start flying over peoples’ heads!
