July’s UFC Fight Night 80-something (maybe 90?) will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between Rafael dos Anjos and Eddie Alvarez. Dos Anjos withdrawing from UFC 189 clearly angered Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta and he has been moved from one of the biggest PPV main events in UFC history to an online only card. Alvarez, meanwhile, has many questioning whether or not he deserves a title shot coming off back-to-back close split decision wins (albeit against Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez).
So close, yet so far away…
Either way, this should be a darn good fight.
