The UFC roster has been overflowing of late. While the company used to just have 10 fights on each card, we’re seeing as many as 14 on each card of late. The reason is obvious. For a long time, guys like David Branch (who is now a two-division champ in WSOF) would be released if they ever lost two fights over a three fight stretch.
This dude actually got booted out of the UFC.
Today, some fighters can lose three, or even four fights in a row and have their job stay safe. The UFC is cracking down on that a bit today, however, with news breaking that a number of fighters, some fairly prominent, are being booted from the UFC.
Francisco Rivera is 1-4 over the last few years but is still employed by the UFC.
