Starbucks Frappuccinos
You didn’t really think she was going full Jon Jones as a kid, did you?
Ronda loved Starbucks so much that her friend acted as her Paul Heyman on the boardwalk and would try to find guys willing to bet $5 or $10 against Ronda’s judo skills. Obviously, even a teenage Ronda is going to be able to armbar the vast majority of men on this planet, so it was a safe bet for her.
“It would start, whoever the guy was I’d throw him to the ground and either give him a choke or an armbar. We’d get him to say that he gave up, then we’d take his money and go buy frappuccinos. Those were my first pro fights. I was around 14 years old, I thought I was a hot-s**t badass. I felt like the secret blonde Beverley Hills Ninja.” – Ronda Rousey
She found a way to profit off the male ego from a young age. Go to any comment section where Ronda is mentioned and you’ll STILL see countless guys who can’t grasp the idea that she would demolish them in a fight, and that’s after she’s a world champion and everyone has seen what she’s capable of – so imagine how easy it was to hustle people when she was an unknown teenager.
Well played, Ronda.
But seriously, you can check out a video of Ronda sparring against one of the top men in the UFC on the last page.
