The centerpiece of Survivor Series this year was the tournament to fill the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. In case you somehow missed it, Seth Rollins destroyed his knee earlier this month and was forced to vacate the organization’s top title. The last two weeks have seen 16 stars go through a tournament, with Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose, Alberto Del Rio and Roman Reigns stepping into Survivor Series as the final four.
Owens got beaten in an exciting, albeit short, match with Ambrose while Reigns beat Del Rio in a surprisingly fun match, which led to the Reigns vs. Ambrose finals everyone expected. In another short match, Reigns defeated Ambrose clean in the main event, and was given the title.
In a strange turn, Triple H came out to congratulate Reigns on his win, and raised his hand in the ring. What came next may shock you…or not.
