Of course, while it’s fun to dish on Tyson’s sexual exploits, there’s an impossible-to-ignore dark side to that story. Specifically his 1992 conviction for the rape of Desiree Washington. According to Washington, Tyson raped her in his hotel room on the night of July 19, 1991, a claim that was partially corroborated by Tyson’s chauffeur and an emergency room physician. Tyson would be charged later that year and would be found guilty in February 1992, which resulted in a six-year prison sentence.
And it’s also worth noting that during this time, Tyson was married to sitcom actress Robin Givens. The couple divorced in 1989 during claims of domestic violence, claims Givens stands by to this day.
Today, Tyson lives with his third wife, Lahika Spicer, and their children. He can frequently be spotted at UFC events, and is currently working on his acting career.
