According to one of Tyson’s bodyguards, who was close to him during his “prime” years in the 1980s, the pugilist had a little black book (well…a computer…but one of those really crappy 1980s computers, so basically a full encyclopedia set) with over 1,300 names. Yes, you read that right. More than one thousand, three-hundred names. Also what they were into.
How many of them did he dial up per day? Anywhere between 0 and 15 per day. FIFTEEN. ONE. FIVE!
According to said bodyguard, one of his jobs was to guard his door and keep the ladies out ahead of his big fights. Another? Sending flowers, chocolate and notes to Tyson’s, ahem, acquaintances.
