According to TMZ, the cause for the probation violation was in fact the drag racing citation. That’s unfortunate because Jones said, and the officer actually admitted, during the stop that he never actually broke the speed limit.
Jones’s management team has said that they are taking the situation “very seriously” while the UFC is yet to comment. The UFC can be expected to try and make the fight happen under any circumstances but if Jones can’t get out of jail, they’ll have to come up with a plan B and soon.
