Earlier this year Snuka, 72, began receiving treatments for stomach cancer. He underwent surgery in July and was released from the hospital later that month. He also required surgery in 2011 to help repair his ankle, which he was almost unable to walk on due to over a decade of professional wrestling.
He last appeared in the WWE in 2010, escorting his daughter, Tamina Snuka and eventual tag team champions The Usos to the ring.
No statement from Snuka, his family, or the WWE, has been issued yet. There is also no word yet on any date for his trial.
