What we do know, though, is that actors are training in MMA fairly frequently these days.
Conor McGregor was sparring with the gargantuan known as The Mountain not too long ago.
The most famous example of this came back in November 2015, when McGregor personally sparred with Cunningham’s co-star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays The Mountain in “Game of Thrones”. The session was caught on camera and is an absolute treat to watch. It isn’t just actors from everyone’s favorite HBO original series that are getting in on the action, though.
Goyle from Harry Potter actually has a fight to his name now.
Jonathan Tucker from “Kingdom”, Ed O’Niell from “Modern Family”, movie star Ryan Gosling and many, many more have posted time in prominent MMA gyms. Josh Herdman from “Harry Potter” took it a step further and actually made his MMA debut not that long ago!
MMA is becoming more mainstream, fight fans! And that’s a good thing.
