The overlap between MMA and actual celebrities is becoming common these days and Ireland’s Straight Blast Gym (SBGi, for short), home to UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, is becoming a hippin’, hoppin’ spot for Hollywood types. The latest example of this? Liam Cunningham, who portrays Ser Davos Seaworth on “Game of Thrones”, stopping by for a private training session with McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh.
Kavanagh posted up a brief snippet of the session for his followers on Instagram. Check it out, y’all:
The video shows Kavanagh drilling some basic counter takedowns with the Irish actor. Is this just a recreational visit for Cunningham? Or is he lined up to perform fisticuffs in the next season of “Game of Thrones” Which conveniently starts filming in a month? We’ll just have to wait and see when season 7 starts up in 2017.
