Do You Think Nate Quarry Is a Hero?
Nate Quarry hadn’t fought in over 5 years but last weekend he came out of retirement to take on Jake “The Snake” Beckmann at a local promotion in Oregon.
Respect to Quarry for accepting this challenge, but Jacob Beckmann’s prowess was just too much for the experienced fighter to handle, so we’ve got a new champion on our hands now. You never want to see older fighters forced to come out of retirement, it usually doesn’t go their way.
After the fight Nate Quarry said, “If I can affect the entire community and let everyone know that special needs people are just a little different. They’re just that: they’re a little different. They have dreams. They have goals, just like the rest of us. Why should we try to tell them how they should live their lives? If we can break them out of the box I think that’s the right thing to do.
