Cris “Cyborg” Justino is one of the hottest names in MMA right now. The former Strikeforce champ and current Invicta FC champ is possibly the pound-for-pound best woman in MMA (her only competition is Joanna Jedrzejczyk, frankly) and, following her UFC debut at UFC 198, her star power is at an all time high. Over the last few months, one of the biggest questions in the UFC has been “when will we see Cyborg back in the Octagon?”




If a report from Brazilian newspaper UOL is to be believed, the answer is September.

According to UOL, Cyborg is going to return to the UFC at UFC Fight Night 95 on September 24 in Brasilia, Brazil. She will main event the card opposite a UFC newcomer in Lina Lansberg. Lansberg, for those who don’t closely follow the European women’s MMA circuit, is a 6-1 featherweight who has four career knockouts, who has faced soft-but-not-too-soft competition.

It’s worth noting that UOL isn’t necessarily a completely reputable source. Brazilian news outlets are not always accurate in their reporting so fans shouldn’t start booking flights to Brazil quite yet. What’s more, this does run contrary to what previous rumors suggested about Cyborg…
