It seems as though the Conor McGregor retirement discussion was all a complicated promotional ploy. The featherweight champ (who is still reigning, it seems) has finally, at long last issued a statement.
It’s a long, complicated one that drives home a few points. The UFC is putting demands on him that adversely impact his ability to prepare for a fight. He is not retired. He is good to fight at UFC 200. And the UFC-McGregor relationship is very, very bad.
