All that said, it’s still no guarantee that Fedor is going to sign with the UFC, either. Word is that he is looking for a non-exclusive contract that will allow him to fight in Russia. The UFC almost certainly wouldn’t offer a non-exclusive contract, and they are unlikely to put on their first show in Russia at any point in the near future.
Fedor signing with Bellator remains possible. It’s also possible that this entire affair is an elaborate scam to generate buzz for his return to M-1 Global, which is run by his manager Vadim Finkelstein.
Either way, American fans should keep their fingers crossed for this one. While it may not necessarily be true, this GOAT vs. GOAT matchup would be an absolute treat.
