Brock Lesnar Was THIS Close to UFC Comeback Before WrestleMania

Obviously, Lesnar didn’t go on to rejoin the UFC. He re-signed his contract with the WWE just a few days before WrestleMania 31 and while he dropped the title to the still-reigning Seth Rollins, he remains one of the WWE’s go-to main event stars. He returned after a lengthy vacation for a title match with Rollins at Battleground, which segued into his current feud with The Undertaker.

That said, it’s still crazy to think that Lesnar was so close to returning to MMA that he was actually doing work in the cage for a comeback. Obviously, the possibilities would have been endless when it comes to a UFC return, and there are more than a few incredibly interesting matches he could have taken.

Lesnar is clearly in a good place at this point, though, both in terms of his standing with the WWE and his life in general. He will likely end 2015 wrestling just eight times and gets to spend the bulk of his time living with his family up in the mountains of Saskatchewan, hunting, fishing, drinking whiskey and pounding terrible beer. Not a bad time to be the Beast Incarnate, ladies and gents.
