6. Irish Travellers
If Conor McGregor wasn’t one of the biggest names in the UFC today, he would probably be travelling around the countryside like an Irish Gypsy getting into fights for bragging rights. These guys love to upload videos to Youtube talking trash and calling each other out, it’s just as much a part of their culture as the fights themselves.
7. JHR (Jailhouse Rock)
We know what happens when you take two disciplined martial artists and lock them in a cage together for 15 minutes. Things can get very brutal. So, imagine what happens when you take thousands of violent criminals and lock them in cages together for years. Needless to say, things get messy.
JHR is just all-out prison brawls featuring guys who have nothing to gain, nothing to lose, nothing to do but fight. Don’t get the wrong idea, they still train hard… One of their drills is to toss a deck of cards on the ground, and the trainee has to pick up each card in the correct order while being assaulted by a prison gang of angry thugs. And yes, they do call it “52 Pick Up“.
