The 10 Worst Black Eyes Of All Time

Josh Koscheck after GSP fight
Koscheck’s eye started swelling early on in the fight, and he kept getting tagged. It probably looked like hell the next day. This came after mountains of trash-talk from Koscheck, so it must have felt good for GSP.
Speaking of Georges…
GSP looked real bruised up after his fight with Hendricks, but you should see the other guy. Oh, wait…
A black eye is usually caused from a blunt force hitting the eye, causing the blood vessels to break and that’s where the dark color comes from. It’s a lot more visible when you get hit in the eye because the skin is very thin compared to other parts of the body, and it’s also a fragile area. You can also get a shiner from being hit in the nose hard enough to damage the tissues and to cause fluid to build up near the eyes. If you didn’t already know that, don’t worry about it, you’ll probably never have the honor of proudly displaying a hard-earned black eye.
