Drew Fickett Ready To Fight

Drew Fickett is the classic example of a fighter who became his own worst enemy.

He was disciplined and worked hard, but after accumulating a great record at the regional MMA circuit, Fickett’s approach began to waver and he also started drinking.

However, he managed to get a place in the first season of the TUF, but never became part of the show as he ended up in prison for an aggravated attack charge.

Fickett joined the UFC the following year and achieved a 4-3 record in the Octagon, but was released from his contract because he starred in an incident with a casino doorman in Las Vegas, and caused problems in a tournament. grappling

It was followed by a string of defeats in the regional circuit, and highlights the fact that in 2009, the promoter Rage In The Cage prevented him from fighting to appear while drunk.

At this point Fickett was already an alcoholic who once invited a friend homeless to stay with him, leading to a drunkenness that lasted for a week, during which his friend preferred to return to the streets due to the behavior of Fickett.

Fickett eventually went back to being sober, but it was not in time to save his career in MMA, and by 2014 he had already lost 8 of his last 9 bouts.
