Conor McGregor Reveals Why He Fought With His Hands Behind His Back

Articles

Fans watching UFC 205’s main event live probabally felt some tense moments when Conor McGregor was holding both hands behind his back, face to face with the then-champion Eddie Alvarez.

Some people undoubtedly had flashbacks to the first Silva vs Weidman fight. It only takes a split second for fortunes to change, as the fight was definitely going Conor’s way. People assumed he was keeping his hands lower to possibly block a takedown attempt, or to lure Eddie into throwing more aggressively which would set up Conor for the counter, or that he was just trying to get into Eddie’s head.

Even thought he acts like an absolute madman leading up to his fights, and afterwards, during the bout Conor is pretty much all business, and seems to have no trouble keeping his composure even when he’s up against all sorts of odds and obstacles. How many times have people written him off, or not given him a chance? And he always seems to come out on top. Sure, he has that loss to Nate in the UFC, but he avenged it with a victory and grew as a fighter, and looks better each time we see him enter the cage.
