After getting a huge amount of hate for her tweet on Owens, she clarified by saying this: 
That…makes sense, quite frankly. Kevin Steen was one of the most insane, intense characters of the indie scene, and was one of the scariest dudes in NXT history. His run in WWE to this point has largely been misfire after misfire, with him dropping his rubber match to John Cena at Battleground, getting into a ticket-to-nowhere feud with Cesaro and, thus far, having a doomed-to-be-forgotten run as IC champ. The fact of the matter is, WWE creative has hamstrung the guy that brought us the most legendary promo of the last ten years.
That said…Melissa Joan Hart definitely didn’t make that point even remotely clear. It’s very possible she is just trying to appease the disgruntled fans by playing the “I really liked him in the indies!” card.
Either way, it will be great to see how long this goes on for and, perhaps, who else gets in on the action.
