UFC on ESPN 2: Barboza vs. Gaethje March 30th

The UFC ends a run of nine events in nine weeks with an ESPN televised Fight Night card on March 30th from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Your main event is 100% must-see. We don’t know what to say to you if you can’t get hyped for lightweight violence gods Justin Gaethje and Edson Barboza inflicting obscene damage on each other for a maximum of 25 minutes.

As for the co-main event, middleweight veteran David Branch battles Jack Hermansson in what is arguably a must-win for Branch if he wants to remain “in the mix” in the division. Also featured is a featherweight tilt between Josh Emmett and Michael Johnson, as well as strawweight contenders Michelle Waterson and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Thanks to the fact that there’s a Top Rank Boxing card (also in Philadelphia!) on ESPN, this is a UFC-boxing doubleheader. The UFC main card start time is 7 PM ET, leading to Oleksandr Gvozdyk vs. Doudou Ngumbu at 10 PM ET. Isn’t it funny now that boxing is getting the late start time and not the UFC?

Anyway, here’s the lineup for next Saturday:

Main Card (ESPN, 7 PM ET)

Justin Gaethje vs. Edson Barboza
David Branch vs. Jack Hermansson
Josh Emmett vs. Michael Johnson
Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Michelle Waterson
Paul Craig vs. Kennedy Nzechukwu
Sheymon Moraes vs. Sodiq Yasuff

Preliminary Card (ESPN, 5 PM ET)

Jessica Aguilar vs. Marina Rodriguez
Ross Pearson vs. Desmond Green
Enrique Barzola vs. Kevin Aguilar
Kevin Holland vs. Gerald Meerschaert

Preliminary Card (ESPN+, 3:30 PM ET)

Ray Borg vs. Kyler Phillips
Sabina Mazo vs. Maryna Moroz
