The sheer number of fighters that have come out against the Reebok deal are staggering. Right at the beginning, a slew of talent including top-10 names like Aljamain Sterling, Myles Jury and Tim Kennedy ripped on it and more and more fighters have thrown their name in on that.
Myles Jury exploded the MMA Universe when he posted photos of him throwing out his Reebok kicks on Twitter and Facebook.
While the initial expectation was for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer, however, a bunch of big names in the UFC like Miesha Tate, Brendan Schaub and now Belfort, have called foul on the deal. Basically everyone seems to be getting poorer due to the Reebok deal!
Well, maybe not EVERYONE…
At least with Belfort, he is already a multi-millionaire after almost 20 years of fighting as one of the sport’s biggest names. Too many other fighters are going to have to call it quits.
