The police are calling this a hate crime.
Two men from Wyoming were visiting Salt Lake City on a road trip. This video took place around 1am on November 1st and it shows the two men being confronted by a group of 7+ other men who really didn’t like the small confederate flag sticker on the truck.
They weren’t rolling around in something like this. It was a small bumper sticker.
The group of guys wanted him to move his truck away, and he didn’t want to do that. Words were exchanged, and then the owner of the truck got jumped and beaten on by the big group of guys.
The things they were calling this guy are ironic considering what they’re upset about in the first place but when you’ve got a gang of guys attacking people in the middle of the night you can’t expect a lot of rationality from them.
The first guy got his lights shut off in one punch, and then they moved on to his friend. You can see it a lot more clearly in the video…
The police are asking for your help to catch these guys.
