There’s no question that Northcutt is still an absolutely amazing prospect despite the loss. He’s crazy athletic, strong and his power striking mean we could easily see him breaking into the top-10 at 155 pounds, or even potentially taking the belt at some point in the future.
Firas Zahabi is a really, really good coach.
The big question was whether or not he would put himself into position to really develop as a fighter and, for a while, it seemed like he wouldn’t. We’ve seen plenty of fighters fall short of their potential by trying to stay close to home or not going all-in on their development and it’s good that Northcutt is teaming up with a top-notch team like TriStar.
This guy should be a good influence on Sage!
