Ronda Rousey’s Mom Says That Ronda’s Head Coach Is Terrible And a Bad Person

MMA

Rousey has been training under Tarverdyan for years now, and it’s hard to critique his work thus far. Rousey has markedly improved under his tutelage, adding some suddenly heavy, accurate hands to her established grappling base. That has made Rousey one of the most formidable fighters in MMA, which allowed her to achieve the colossal success she enjoys today.

That said, Rousey may be the exception, not the rule. More than a few other UFC fighters have joined the Glendale Fighting Club only to struggle. Rousey’s new beau, Travis Browne, is coming off a brutal knockout loss to Andrei Arlovski, while other fighters like Jessamyn Duke and Jake Ellenberger had numerous struggles before leaving for greener pastures.

Still, don’t expect DeMars’ critique to get to Rousey. Watch out for Tarverdyan to be in her corner at UFC 193 for the main event, Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm.
