The next woman to win the Ronda Rousey lottery for a chance to get beaten up by the champ is Bethe Correia, who went too far when she said the following:
“Under pressure, she is proving weak. When her mom put pressure on her, she ran away from home. When she lost, it was because of drugs. That’s not a superhero. She is not mentally healthy; she needs to take care of herself. She is winning, so everybody is around her cheering her up, but when she realizes she is not everything that she believes she is, I don’t know what might happen. Ronda Rousey’s father committed suicide when she was a kid, which she talks about in her book. Bethe is going right for the jugular, trying to get inside Ronda’s head to mess with her.
When fighters take the trash talking too far, it can go one of two ways. Let’s use Ronda as an example.
- When Ronda and Miesha hated each other before their fight, Miesha let go of her game plan and didn’t fight smart.
- On the other hand, Ronda said she allowed Miesha to last 3 rounds so that she could spend more time punishing and demoralizing her.
So, look out Bethe.
