Ronda Rousey Coming Back to Fight Miesha Tate for UFC Title

MMA

It’s hard not to look at this as a sign that Rousey is scared of Holm. Holm knocked out Rousey cold back at UFC 193 and, now that she’s out of the picture, is looking to take the belt from an easier mark in Tate, who she has already submitted twice.

If Rousey is serious about coming back, though, there’s no way the UFC doesn’t make Tate vs. Rousey 3 as soon as she’s ready to go. While it’s not clear if Rousey actually is 100% committed to returning (keep in mind, Dana could just be blowing it out his ass here), the UFC will probably plan like she is coming back.

No word yet on if Rousey is going to actually commit to fighting, or if she’ll split time between MMA and acting again.

When is anyone’s guess. UFC 200 would make sense, but it’s not clear on whether or not Rousey would be ready or if she’ll have other obligations at that time. Fall or Winter 2016 is your most likely landing spot.
