Lil Wayne Tears Into Adrien Broner, Talks Boxing After Floyd Mayweather

Boxing

Broner has gone from one of the leading names in boxing to becoming a running joke. After a 26-0 start to his boxing career, Broner was identified by many pundits as a future megastar that could fill the eventual post-Mayweather void.

Broner’s smack talk and boisterous personality, however, only work when winning is a certainty. An iffy showing against Paulie Malignaggi in 2013 was followed by a harsh loss to Marcos Maidana. While he called for a rematch, Maidana would go on to face Mayweather. Broner sandwich three wins between another loss, this time to Shawn Porter. He is currently set to face off with Khabib Allakhverdiev in October.

As for Lil Wayne and his future with Mayweather?

“It’s hard to say because Floyd is a businessman…To say this is his last fight is a good business move. And then he could go on to take on another fight against who everyone wants to see, Manny Pacquiao. That will be the biggest money score in the world.”
