Jon Jones and MMA fans got a big surprise on April Fools when word broke that Daniel Cormier was out of UFC 197, which left Jones without a dance partner and without an opportunity to fight for the light heavyweight title. When we last talked about it, it was unclear whether or not Jones would be pulled off the card and whether or not UFC 197 would get the 196 treatment and be moved over to being a UFC Fight Night event.
Well, earlier today, Jones announced that he wanted to fight, with or without Cormier. He said he’d take an opponent at either light heavyweight or heavyweight and, simply, wanted give back to his fans that have remained loyal.
