The UFC media calls are where a lot of the articles leading up to a fight get their legs. Sometimes they’re awesome like the GSP/Diaz call, often they’re kind of boring, and sometimes they’re just awkward…
At the press call for UFC 193 with Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, Joanna Champion and Valerie Letourneau, things took a turn for the awkward when a reporter asked Ronda Rousey a personal question that she had no interest in answering.
The official story is that her phone line cut out and they weren’t able to get her back on the line.
The phone line cut out the second after she was asked a very specific question. And they were completely unable to get her back on the line. Obviously after hanging up she’s not sitting around waiting by her phone for 30 minutes, she hung up on them then got up and walked away and carried on with her day.
