It’s always hard to say that a fighter who is still active and on the rise is the greatest of all time. Dos Anjos has certainly looked amazing of late, but we’ve also seen him lose on a few occasions in the UFC, sometimes to fighters that weren’t even that great (Tyson Griffin, Clay Guida, Gleison Tibau and Jeremy Stephens have all beaten dos Anjos). But of course, if he continues looking this good and continues beat really strong competition, it will be hard to deny him.
Can he get through Conor McGregor, though? That’s a tougher call than many think. McGregor is a technically superior striker than Cowboy and is a smarter fighter than Anthony Pettis. What’s more Pettis managed to pop dos Anjos with punches during their fight, and if McGregor’s power holds up at 155 pounds, that could spell disaster.
This is a tough fight to call, which makes it one of the most interesting in recent memory. Here’s hoping it’s as fun as it could be.
