Daniel Cormier vs. Brock Lesnar In Works for UFC 241


The long-awaited rumored fight between the UFC heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier and WWE Universal Champ Brock Lesnar is being targeted for UFC 241 on Aug. 17. No location has been revealed for the event according to a report by AGFight,

As yet the UFC has no made an official statement about the negotiations or confir the event as yet. However, from the insider reports, it looks as if brock is back.

From the moment Cormier took the heavyweight belt from Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 in July of 2018. A bout between Cormier and Lesnar had been in contemplation. Cormier has since gone on to defend the belt against Derrick Lewis, after that he has not fought since that bout in November.

He had been targeting retirement in March, but UFC president Dana White has said publicly that he believes that in talking with Cormier, he has opted to fight again, particularly wanting the bout with Lesnar.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is currently under contract with both WWE and UFC. However, he hasn’t fought in the UFC since UFC 200, where he initially defeated Mark Hunt, but then he was stripped of that victory after testing positive for banned substances.
