Dana White Wants Conor McGregor To Win So Badly That He Pressured Jose Aldo To Fight With An Injury

The commission wouldn’t let him fight with a broken rib. He would have to do exams before the fight. We wouldn’t want to say it was broken, but there was no other way. Would we turn ourselves into liars? It was a fight. Them saying it wasn’t broken, the doctor there saying it wasn’t broken, and there was this fight.”

A UFC representative has called BS on Aldo’s wifey’s claims:

“Jose’s health and safety were always a priority and we worked closely with he and his team to ensure that he had access to the best medical care and consultation after sustaining the injury. We respect and understand that he could not proceed with the fight at UFC 189 due to the injury. Both fighters have now arrived in Las Vegas for this historic event, and we’re excited that UFC 194 is just days away,” a UFC official said.

Vivianne Pereira went on to say that Aldo tried really hard to make it to the fight at UFC 189, but when he showed up to the gym to train through the injury, he was crying from the pain and it just wasn’t possible, no matter how many numbers Dana White tried to throw at him.

Here’s what Dana White had to say:

“He had to cut something like 24 pounds and if he couldn’t physically do it the way that he does it, he was afraid that he couldn’t make weight,” White said. “That was really the issue. But he did not have a broken rib. It was a bruise. Every x-ray he sent out was of an old injury. What you saw right there on his body was an old injury, not a new injury.”
